LIFE

Sometimes it seems that we are going in all directions.  On every hand demands are being made on us that brings us to the point of total frustration and sometimes anger.  What are we to do?  We are supposed to be the ADULTS in this situation!  You may be thinking I wish I was a kid again, but that is not the way life is.  In these times we must go to Jesus and He will give us rest.  Rest for our minds, our wills, and our emotions so that we can go on with life in victory.  Don’t let the “stuff” of life get you down.  Jesus said to come to Him and He will, not maybe He will or He might, He WILL give you rest!

FORGIVE AND FORGET

As we live from day to day, many things that we do or say or think are not right according to God.  We must confess our faults to God and ask Him to cleanse us, forgive us, and help us with life.  He is willing to forgive us of our sin and He does not hold our sin against us when we repent.  On the other hand, people do things and say things to us that are not right.  What is out response?  Are we willing to forgive them or do we feel that we have the “right” to be angry with them?  How about if we forgive them, but do we forget the wrongful words or deed?  Do you keep in your memory banks a wrong that was done to you years ago and bring it back up to the person who was responsible for doing it as if it happened yesterday?  We must remember that God freely forgives and forgets.  We should do the same.

GLORIFY THE LORD

Let us remember from day to day, to give glory unto the Lord that is due to His Name.  Psalm 96:7-10 KJV Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.  Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.  O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him all the earth.  Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously

LIFE

LIFE!

THE PRESENCE

All through the Bible we are encourage to make the presence of the Lord the place where we live, abide, and lodge.  Why should we do that?  In this world today, there are many issues, most of which will cause you fear, frustration, disgust, anger and stress. Only in the presence of God do we find peace, comfort, joy, and hope.  In these busy days, we must TAKE time to come with thanksgiving and praise in our hearts and rest in His presence.  If we will do that we will find that a lot of things that cause us stress are no longer stressful, because God’s presence has set us free from that stress.

THE REFUGE

Do you know what a refuge is?  It is a place of safety.  Sometimes we need a refuge in life.  Where is our refuge?  In the presence of God Almighty there is safety and peace.  Psalm 91 says, that our Almighty God will cover us with His presence as a mother hen cover her chicks with her wings.  Leave your problems, worries, fretting, discouragement, depression, disgust, and other things that could come between you and Your Father, outside the refuge.  Come into His presence and when you leave, you will find that those things that seemed overwhelming are nothing because you have experienced the POWER of the LIVING GOD and been in His presence.

REST

When you look around and all seems lost, take courage in Jesus.  He said that all who were laboring and without rest were to come to Him and He would give them rest!  How can He do that?  First of all we must remember that while on earth, He lived as we do - a man!  He was tempted in all ways such as we are, yet He did not sin.  He did that so He could give us comfort,  guidance, love, and understanding. If you are “laboring” alone, make Jesus your refuge.  He not only understands your labor, but He also has the answer.  He is the answer and He is your peace.  Rest in His love and be restored.

FRUSTRATION

What frustrates you the most?  Maybe I should say who frustrates you the most?  At times we have to deal with things or people that can frustrate us to the max!  How should we react?  Not in anger or rage, but we must try to answer with words that will not cause the situation to become worse.  The Bible says that we should think before we speak.  Why is that?  So we won’t have to apologize from daylight to dark!  If we can remember to ask God to put a latch on our lips, frustrating situations can be nullified.  How is that?  If you don’t put wood on the fire it will go out.  If we don’t put words of anger on a frustrating situation or person, the frustration level will become void.  May we all watch our words today.

SING UNTO THE LORD

May we sing to the Lord and praise and bless His name among all the people. Psalm 96:1-6 KJV O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.  Sing unto the Lord, bless his holy name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.  Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.  For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.  Honor and majesty are before him:   strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

DELIGHT

Let us delight ourselves in the Lord, continually!  Psalm 37:1-4 KJV Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
