According to Proverbs, we are to take hold of God’s wisdom and not let it go, because it is life to us.   How can the wisdom of God be life to us?  He is the only One that knows what the next minute may bring our way.  If we are walking in His wisdom and listening to His instructions, we can avoid many of the pitfalls of life.  If we choose to go our own way, we will pay the price for making our own wrong decisions.  We can’t blame God for our mistakes when we do not choose to walk in the wisdom of God’s Word.  May we all redouble our efforts to live our lives day by day, guided what the Bible says for us to do.

Many people call the Bible the "Good Book" and it is a good book , but in reality it is God's Book. The question is: Do you believe what God's Book says? Many will say "yes, yes!" How do you know if the answer is really yes? Do you believe it all? Or do you say well now some of that I can't believe? Do you do what it says? Even the hard parts about loving the unlovable? Or that part about forgiving others? We like the part that tells us how much God loves us and that is true - God does love us. We must examine ourselves concerning the whole thing. Sometimes we need to check ourselves to make sure we didn't get off God's path.

Who are you?  Proverbs says that as a man thinks in heart so is he going to be.  Sooooooo what are you thinking about?  What consumes your thought life.  Are your thoughts good   Are they bad?  Are they peaceful or angry?  Are they thoughts about the goodness of God or do you think about all the things you wish you had?  We must control our thoughts if we are going to live a peaceful, happy life.  Thinking on the things in today’s world will not bring you peace or happiness.  We must “program” ourselves to think on the things of God and “delete” thoughts that cause us to be upset.  Is that easier said than done?  YES!  But, it is necessary. We must have the help of God to do this, so don’t hesitate to ask!

Have you ever said,”I wish I was rich?”   Many of us have said that.  The question is what would you do if you were rich?  Some people that have become rich have done so by treading on the backs of others.  Some have inherited their wealth.  Some have become rich by hard work and living by the principles of God.  Proverbs 22 says that if we allow God to be in charge of our lives, we will have riches, honor, and life.  God is not opposed to us being rich, but He is opposed to us forgetting where those riches came from.  He is opposed to us forgetting Him.  He is opposed to us not giving Him first place in our thoughts and actions day by day.  May we live large in the continual presence of God, our Father.

In these days of turmoil and strife, let us always remember that God is on His throne and will give us peace and safety when we put our trust in Him.    Psalm 4:7-8 KJV Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their corn and wine increased.  I will both lay me down in peace and sleep: for thou, Lord, only maketh me dwell in safety.

We are to be as trees of righteousness representing the goodness of God.  (Psalm 1: 3;6 Amp) And he shall be like a tree [firmly planted and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].  For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish (end in ruin and come to naught.)
