DARKNESS TO LIGHT

Are you walking through a “dark time” in your life?  All of us have seasons of time in our lives that are “dark”.  What do we do?  We must not let this darkness overtake us and cause our zest for living to be drained out.  The devil comes to steal from us and if we let him in, he WILL steal everything.  What do we do?  We hold tightly to the hand of our Shepherd as we walk through the dark valley and trust Him to bring us safely out of the darkness.  Each day will be brighter than the day before and soon we will walk from darkness into the glorious light of the presence of God!

HIDING PLACE

Because of situations in our lives, there are times when we need a “hiding place”.  David wrote about this in Psalm 32.  In verse 5 and 6, he said he acknowledge his sin and iniquity and received forgiveness from God, and in verses 7 and 8 (Amp) he said “You are a hiding place for me; You Lord, preserve me from trouble.  You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance.  Selah [pause and calmly think about that]! I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.  Praise God!

GRACE AND LOVE

The grace (favor) of God and the love of God is unsearchable.  Why would He love me?   He loves us all the time, even when we are not doing right in His eyes.  His great desire is for us to return that love to Him. You may say that you don’t “feel” anything!  Feelings have nothing to do with a decision to love someone.  God doesn’t love us because He “feels” like loving us.  He  love us because He is love.  We have to choose to love Him.  If we will do that, we will in return receive joy unspeakable and know the glory of His presence in our lives.

PRAISE GOD

Let us praise God today.  Jesus is coming to rule and reign on this earth!
Psalm 97:6-9 (Amplified)

With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!  Let the sea roar and all that fills it, the world, and those who dwell in it!  Let the rivers clap their hands; together let the hills sing for joy before the Lord, for He is coming to judge [and rule] the earth; with righteousness will He judge [and rule] the world, and the people with equity.

FAITHFULNESS

May we give thanks to God for His faithfulness.  His promises are sure and certain!   Psalm 98:1-4 (Amplified)

O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him.  The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness has He openly shown in the sight of the nations.  He has [earnestly] remembered His mercy and loving-kindness, His truth and faithfulness toward the house of Israel;   all the ends of the earth have witnessed the salvation of our God.  Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!

ARMS OF LOVE

What do you think about?  Are your thoughts on the issues and events taking place in this world?  If that is what you think about, I dare say, your mind is in turmoil most of the time while you try to “figure out” the answers to today’s questions.  The Bible says that we are to set our minds and keep them set on the things of God. If we do that we can live here in peace.  If we don’t do that we will have very limited peace of mind.  Remember: This world is not our home!  We’re just passing through!  Heaven with all its glory waits just ahead!  Look up!  Jesus is coming SOON!

PEACE

What do you think about?  Are your thoughts on the issues and events taking place in this world?  If that is what you think about, I dare say, your mind is in turmoil most of the time while you try to “figure out” the answers to today’s questions.  The Bible says that we are to set our minds and keep them set on the things of God. If we do that we can live here in peace.  If we don’t do that we will have very limited peace of mind.  Remember: This world is not our home!  We’re just passing through!  Heaven with all its glory waits just ahead!  Look up!  Jesus is coming SOON!

OUR SHEPHERD

Psalm 23, says that the Lord is our Shepherd therefore we shall not want.  You may be saying, well I have some “wants” in my life!  Is Jesus your Lord (boss), your shepherd?  Many times when we are “wanting”, we can’t really tell what we are “wanting for” because we don’t know.  We think we want something in this natural world in which we live, but often it is our spirit that is crying out for things that only God can give.  When we truly make Jesus our Lord, He will restore our soul; what we think about, what we say, and our emotional ups and downs.  All power lies in Jesus, but we must access that power by allowing Him to be our Lord.

TRUST IN THE LORD

Have you looked at the issues you are facing and “figured out what you need to do” without asking God for help?  We have all done that at times.  We have probably all thought that we had the right answer for the situation only to find out it was the wrong answer!  What are we to do?  We must pray and ask God for the answer.  Sometimes we do not get a direct answer, but we receive perfect peace in our heart concerning what we had thought about doing.  That peace is often God’s answer.  We are not to trust our own understanding about a matter, but we are trust in the Lord with all our heart and not fret!

FEAR NOT

Have you ever suddenly become afraid for no apparent reason?  Proverbs chapter 3 says that we are NOT to be afraid of sudden fear.  Why should we not be afraid?  God has not given us a spirit of fear!  So where does it come from?  The devil is the author of fear.  He gives us False Evidence Appearing Real. (FEAR)  We begin to think about it and if we are not careful panic will show up.  We must let the Lord be our confidence and know that He will take care of us.  FEAR NOT for the Lord our God is with us!
