God is not like a microwave: instant results!  Sometimes the answer comes quickly, but many times there is a period of waiting that follows our prayers.  That is when we must stand in FAITH believing that God heard our prayer, which was based on God’s Word and the answer is on the way.  While we are standing, many times our closest friend or family member will try to talk us out of the prayer.  If that doesn’t work, then our own mind will begin to doubt and question our prayer.  Do not let any person or the devil, using doubts and fears, take away your faith while you are standing.  God is on His throne!  His Word stands!  All is well.

John 14:27 (KJV)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

May these words from Jesus, our Lord give comfort and encouragement to you today and everyday.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
...they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run , and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

In these days when things are hard to deal with and hard to bear, let us spend time with the Lord, so that we can renew our spiritual and physical strength for the journey.

FAITH is the foundation for believing that things hoped for will be seen in our “natural world”.  What are you talking about?  Do you need a job?  Do you have a loved one that is far away from God? Are you sick? PRAY the prayer of faith according to God’s Word, believing that God hears you when you pray and that the answer is on the way.  Then thank Him for the answer even though you may not see it yet.  When we pray the prayer of faith, then we must stand by faith.  The key to standing by faith is that we continue to THANK GOD for the answer.  Do not continue to ask!  THANK HIM!   THANK HIM!    THANK HIM!!!

Jesus said that if you love Me you will keep my commandments. He did not say that if we want Jesus to love us we have to keep His commandments.  Why does He want us to keep His commandments?  He wants us to be doers of the Word and not just hearers.  A doer is someone who has the life of God in his heart which will shine through his life others. A doer is someone who can walk through a storm in life that could destroy them, but instead of destruction they walk in victory.  May we all be doers of the Word of God.  We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know that Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us.  Praise God!

God’s Word says that faith grows by hearing the Word of God and by doing - obeying that Word.  Many people are hearers, and hearers, and hearers, but they never DO what the Word says.  Therefore their faith is weak and ineffective and never seems to produce any fruit.  Since God has placed HIS seed of faith in us, it is a perfect seed, but we must do our part to cause that seed to grow.  The book of James says that we deceive ourselves if we only hear the Word of God and do not do what it says.   May our actions match what we say we believe.

Let us consider a lump of coal.  Why?  How is a diamond formed?  From carbon crystals that over time with pressure, heat and water become the hardest stone known to man: a diamond.  We too, were once “lumps of coal” but when we received Jesus in our hearts, the life of Jesus began to crystalize inside of us.  As time progresses, how we react to the pressures of life, the heat of temptation, and the water of the Word of God determines how close we come to being God’s diamond.  May each one of us be determined to sparkle like a well cut diamond today for the glory of God.

Psalm 91 says that God will give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways.  They will lift us up to keep us from hurting ourselves.  Angels are ministering spirits sent to minister for the heirs of salvation.  Who are the heirs?  YOU - if Jesus is your Savior.  I’m sure that many times the angels have kept us from being hurt or even destroyed.  Most of the time we are not even aware that we have angels, but we do.   Everyday, we should be thankful to God for His provision.  God daily loads us with His benefits.  Thank You, Father, for Your great love.

Our place of shelter from things that are too difficult for us.             Psalm 61:1-4 (Amplified)

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and fainting; lead me to the rock that is higher than I [yes, a rock that is too high for me].  For you have been a shelter and a refuge for me, a strong tower against the adversary.  I will dwell in your tabernacle forever; let me find refuge and trust in the shelter of your wings. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that].

May we bless the Lord forever.  Psalm 145:1,8,14,21 (Amplified)

I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever [with grateful, affectionate praise].  The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness.  The Lord upholds all those [of His own] who are falling and raises up all those who are bowed down.  My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord; and let all flesh bless (affectionately and gratefully praise) His holy name forever and ever.
