Because of situations in our lives, there are times when we need a "hiding place". David wrote about this in Psalm 32. In verse 5 and 6, he said he acknowledge his sin and iniquity and received forgiveness from God, and in verses 7 and 8 (Amp) he said "You are a hiding place for me; You Lord, preserve me from trouble. You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah [pause and calmly think about that]!

I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Praise God!

The grace (favor) of God and the love of God is unsearchable. Why would He love me? He loves us all the time, even when we are not doing right in His eyes. His great desire is for us to return that love to Him. You may say that you don’t "feel" anything! Feelings have nothing to do with a decision to love someone. God doesn’t love us because He "feels" like loving us. He love us because He is love. We have to choose to love Him. If we will do that, we will in return receive joy unspeakable and know the glory of His presence in our lives.

Do you feel rejected? Do you think that no one really cares about you? If you have chosen Jesus as Savior, you need to understand that you are accepted by God and highly favored! We are accepted and highly favored only because of our position in Jesus, but many people do not allow what the Bible says to change their thinking concerning the love of God. God loves His children and wants the very best for them. Our problem is we sometimes do not allow His love to wrap around us so that we feel secure in His love. Let us rest in His arms of love.

What do you think about? Are your thoughts on the issues and events taking place in this world? If that is what you think about, I dare say, your mind is in turmoil most of the time while you try to "figure out" the answers to today’s questions. The Bible says that we are to set our minds and keep them set on the things of God. If we do that we can live here in peace. If we don’t do that we will have very limited peace of mind. Remember: This world is not our home! We’re just passing through! Heaven with all its glory waits just ahead! Look up! Jesus is coming SOON!

May our desire today, be to worship and honor our God, our Father in spirit and in truth. Psalm 27:1;4-5 (KJV)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock And now my head shall be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Let us sing to the Lord, today. He has wonderfully and graciously blessed us! Psalm 96:1-4 (Amplified)

O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His name; show forth His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among the peoples. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverently feared and worshiped above all [so called] gods

Psalm 23, says that the Lord is our Shepherd therefore we shall not want. You may be saying, well I have some "wants" in my life! Is Jesus your Lord (boss), your shepherd? Many times when we are "wanting", we can’t really tell what we are "wanting for" because we don’t know. We think we want something in this natural world in which we live, but often it is our spirit that is crying out for things that only God can give. When we truly make Jesus our Lord, He will restore our soul; what we think about, what we say, and our emotional ups and downs. All power lies in Jesus, but we must access that power by allowing Him to be our Lord.

Have you looked at the issues you are facing and "figured out what you need to do" without asking God for help? We have all done that at times. We have probably all thought that we had the right answer for the situation only to find out it was the wrong answer! What are we to do? We must pray and ask God for the answer. Sometimes we do not get a direct answer, but we receive perfect peace in our heart concerning what we had thought about doing. That peace is often God’s answer. We are not to trust our own understanding about a matter, but we are trust in the Lord with all our heart and not fret!

Have you ever suddenly become afraid for no apparent reason? Proverbs chapter 3 says that we are NOT to be afraid of sudden fear. Why should we not be afraid? God has not given us a spirit of fear! So where does it come from? The devil is the author of fear. He gives us False Evidence Appearing Real. (FEAR) We begin to think about it and if we are not careful panic will show up. We must let the Lord be our confidence and know that He will take care of us. FEAR NOT for the Lord our God is with us!

Because we are children of God, we walk in the favor of God. What a blessing! You say, "Well I’m not seeing God’s favor in my life". We won’t see His favor in a great way if we are not walking hand in hand with Him. Many times in the Bible He says He will order our steps, show us the way, give us knowledge of witty inventions, but we ignore Him. We think we can do it ourselves! We often have to make many missteps before we understand that God knows more than we do! It is amazing that we think we are so "smart"! May we always remember that God knows the end from the beginning and let Him lead the way.
