Let us remember that even when we do foolish things, God does not forsake us. He is always there when we repent and return to Him.

Psalm 73:22-26 KJV
So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou has holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

May we give praise to our Mighty God who is merciful and blesses us day after day. Psalm 67:1-4 KJV

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us. Selah That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all the nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

When we consider all the disturbing things that seem to keep happening on a daily basis, despair tries to take over our thoughts. We must not let that happen. NOW is the time for us to arise and shine because the light of Jesus lives in us. We must STAND UP for what we believe and we must believe what the Bible says. We must be convinced that Jesus is our peace, our safety, our strength, our Redeemer, our life, our provider, our hope! We must KNOW that HE is ALL we need. Then we must stand on what we believe without compromise or fear. THESE ARE THE DAYS OF ELIJAH!

Does your mind get tired? Tired of hearing things - mostly bad. What can we do to give our minds a rest? We must get to someplace quiet and then we have to begin the restoration process. Our Good Shepherd will help us with this if we will cooperate with Him. When restoring a piece of furniture, the old finish has to be stripped off before the new finish can be applied. It is the same with us. Our old thoughts, must be removed, so that the new thoughts can be applied. What old thoughts? All thoughts that do not line up with what God said, must go. This is a process, but when you have completed it, you will be like a diamond in the kingdom of God!

The Lord is MY Shepherd. He is my personal Shepherd, therefore I shall have no wants. He satisfies me in all areas of life. Sometimes we say I want this or that or something else, but generally those "wants" are just the desires of the flesh which can never be satisfied! When Jesus is your Shepherd, your personal Shepherd, He will give you peace and satisfaction beyond your wildest dreams. You don’t believe that? Put Him first in all that you think, say, do, or desire, and in every step you take and you will walk into the wonder of living free. Living free is very good.

Do you have fear? Do you worry? Do you have turmoil? Do things upset you easily? Do you get angry? Do you complain? THESE THINGS ARE NOT VIRTUES! We all have or do some of these things at times, but they should not be our lifestyle! We need to listen to ourselves. If these things are abundant in our lives, then we need to repent and turn from them. You say how can I do that? You just don’t know my circumstances. No I don’t, but God does. He says in His Word, that if we will Bless Him, Praise Him, Worship Him, Love Him He will hear us when we pray - not when we complain. Let us make an effort to praise God for His Goodness and quit complaining to Him.

In the hustle and bustle of living and the turmoil and trials of life, have you ever longed for a place of peace and quiet? We all need time to calm our thoughts and rest our bodies. That is one reason that God gave us instructions concerning a day that was to be dedicated to Him. He is our rest and our peace, so He said one day a week should be set aside for Him. We call that day Sunday. The word Sabbath in the old testament means "intermission" which is a break in the action! If we will take an intermission and rest in the presence of God, our days and weeks will be much easier to handle. TAKE A GOD BREAK!!

Let us remember from day to day, to give glory unto the Lord that is due to His Name. Psalm 96:7-10 KJV

Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him all the earth. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Let us come before the Lord with joyfulness and singing.

Psalm 95:1-3 KJV
O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. He does not change. God the Father does not change. Why is that important? Because our world is in continual change - most of which is not for the better. We need to have stability in our lives and there is only one way for us to have it and that is with God, our Father and Jesus, our Savior. We must not allow ourselves to be moved by the things in this world that would steal our peace and cause us anxiety. What we see with our natural eyes will change but the things we see with our eyes of fath - the eternal things of God never change. They always stay the same.
