In whom shall we trust? Trust in God. (Psalm 73:25-28 NKJV)

Whom do I have in heaven but you? And there is none upon the earth I desire besides You! My flesh and my heart fail; but God is strength of my heart and my portion forever. For indeed those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert you for harlotry. But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all your works.

Our God is eternal in the heavens. (Psalm 72:17-19 NKJV)

His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun, and men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed.
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

In John chapter ten, Jesus said that He was the door. What is He the door to? He is the door into the presence of God, the Father. He said that many others had come saying that this is the way or that is the way, but Jesus said I AM the way. He called all those others deceivers. He said His people (those who have made Jesus their Lord and Savior) would hear His voice and would not follow a stranger. A stranger is someone that tries to get people to go a different way in order to get to the Father. Jesus said we would not follow other voices because we KNOW His voice. We must know Jesus. How? We know Jesus as we study His Word and put it into practice. When we do that, those other voices will fade into the distance. We will then be able to hear the voice of Jesus and know without question that He is speaking. What a blessing!!

There are many voices in the world today. Some voices say we must have hope. Some voices say we are doomed. Some voices say we must "worship" the earth and try to save it! Some voices have only questions. Some voices say there are no good answers for us today. Well...I have good news. Jesus said for us not to let our hearts be troubled. Why? Because we have the promise of God, that heaven lies just ahead with all its beauty, glory, peace, and joy. Why should we be afraid or discouraged? Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life (eternal life) and no man can come to the Father, God, except through Him. So if you belong to Jesus and He belongs to you, why should you worry? Why should you question? Why should you be down-hearted? You should rejoice because Jesus is your Savior and Heaven is just ahead! Praise God!!

God is king in my life! That is good! Now page 2! The rest of that prayer says: Thy will be done IN the earth as it is in heaven. So???? What is God’s will in your life? I don’t know! Now it is time for all of us to ask God if what we are doing is what He planned for us to do. Is it His determined purpose for us? Are we doing our own thing? Are we saying to that small voice we hear inside of us, No, I can’t do that. I don’t want to do that. That can’t be God. The question is: Have you ask Him, or did you disregard the thought as ridiculous. God often asks us to do things that we don’t want to do, or we think that we are not able to do. We must always remember that God made us. He knows what we can do. If God calls you to do something that you think would be impossible for you to do: HIS POWER WILL ENABLE YOU TO DO WHAT HE SAYS FOR YOU TO DO. God is awesome!!

We are to humble ourselves and pray. What are we to pray? The Lord’s prayer says that we are to pray that His kingdom will come and His will be done IN earth as it is in heaven. Are you praying that the kingdom of God will rule in your life. What? A kingdom has a king. The King, Ruler, Lord of your life should be God. When you pray Thy kingdom come in the earth, you are asking God to be King in your life. Sometimes we "say" the "Lord’s Prayer" and don’t even know what we are saying. We can all say "oh, me". That includes me! When we sincerely pray for the kingdom of God to rule in our life, which is our kingdom, I believe we will see changes in ourselves day after day. The more we allow God to rule, the brighter our light will shine into the darkness of this world. May God’s kingdom rule in your life today.

There are many things in the world today that can cause us frustration, anger, disgust, and fear. Jesus said that there would be things hard to deal with and to bear in the last days. That is where we are living. He also said do not fear because I am with you. We must hold tightly to His hand and look up! Do not look down or around. When we look up our eyes are fixed on the eternal things of God which are all good. When we look down or around we don't see very much that good, but we see much that is bad. That's the reason Jesus said to look up! Look up! Jesus is coming soon!

May we take courage and strength from these verses in Psalm 46:1-7 NKJV

God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. SELAH There is a river whose steams shall make glad the city of God. The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved, God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved, He uttered His voice and the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. SELAH

You may say that you cannot hear from God. God is continually speaking, but often we have the volume "turned down" so that we cannot hear Him. What do you mean "the volume turned down?" We have lots of interference both internally and externally and it causes us not to hear what God is saying. We need to get quiet inside of ourselves and get away from the "external noise" which is usually other people speaking, and present ourselves to the Lord. We must understand that He loves us, but He is also Holy. We must reverence His presence.

As we sit quietly in His presence we will find ourselves rested and we will know His mighty power and love for us.

As we look around us today, we see that the nations of the world are in turmoil. By the same token, we see that the lives of many people around us are in turmoil. When we look in the mirror, we see that sometimes our own life is in turmoil. How do we find peace? How do we find the answer for our life? The first thing we need to do is answer this question: Am I someone that is called by the name of God; a Christian? If the answer is yes, then according to the Bible we are to humble ourselves before God and seek His face. Seek His answer. Seek His presence! Why? There are NO answers in this world that will bring you peace, comfort, and wisdom. Those only come from God. Let this be the day that you seek for God’s presence. In His presence is fullness of joy! May His presence that brings peace and joy reign in your life today.
