The Lord, our God says that we are to take pleasure in Him with joy for all his goodness to us. Psalm 35:27-28 KJV

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

All through the Bible we are encourage to make the presence of the Lord the place where we live, abide, and lodge. Why should we do that? In this world today, there are many issues, most of which will cause you fear, frustration, disgust, anger and stress. Only in the presence of God do we find peace, comfort, joy, and hope. In these busy days, we must TAKE time to come with thanksgiving and praise in our hearts and rest in His presence. If we will do that we will find that a lot of things that cause us stress are no longer stressful, because God’s presence has set us free from that stress!

Do you know what a refuge is? It is a place of safety. Sometimes we need a refuge in life. Where is our refuge? In the presence of God Almighty there is safety and peace. Psalm 91 says, that our Almighty God will cover us with His presence as a mother hen cover her chicks with her wings. Leave your problems, worries, fretting, discouragement, depression, disgust, and other things that could come between you and Your Father, outside the refuge. Come into His presence and when you leave, you will find that those things that seemed overwhelming are nothing because you have experienced the POWER of the LIVING GOD and been in His presence.

What frustrates you the most? Maybe I should say who frustrates you the most? At times we have to deal with things or people that can frustrate us to the max! How should we react? Not in anger or rage, but we must try to answer with words that will not cause the situation to become worse. The Bible says that we should think before we speak. Why is that? So we won’t have to apologize from daylight to dark! If we can remember to ask God to put a latch on our lips, frustrating situations can be nullified. How is that? If you don’t put wood on the fire it will go out. If we don’t put words of anger on a frustrating situation or person, the frustration level will become void. May we all watch our words today.

When you look around and all seems lost, take courage in Jesus. He said that all who were laboring and without rest were to come to Him and He would give them rest! How can He do that? First of all we must remember that while on earth, He lived as we do - a man! He was tempted in all ways such as we are, yet He did not sin. He did that so He could give us comfort, guidance, love, and understanding. If you are "laboring" alone, make Jesus your refuge. He not only understands your labor, but He also has the answer. He is the answer and He is your peace. Rest in His love and be restored.

Have you ever had a day or maybe days when it seemed that nothing was right? There was trouble or anxiety, or stress, or issues on every hand! What did you do? We have a choice when things are like that in our lives. We can fly into a million pieces, have a large fit of anger, or melt into tears, but if we will remember that God said that even when you walk in the middle of trouble, He is with you. He will lift you up and give you help. So if you are facing issues that seem to have no answers, look up! Your Father in heaven has all the answers you need and is willing and ready to give them to you. Ask, listen and receive!

May we never forget that the nation who chooses God to be LORD, is blessed. Psalm 33:8-12 KJV

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth forever, and the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

We must always remember that the Lord causes us the lay down in peace and gives us sweet sleep, and His angels are encamped about us to protect us. Psalm 34:7-9 KJV

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Have you ever been falsely accused of saying or doing something? What did you do? We are to go to God in prayer because He will comfort and instruct us in His ways. We must guard our mouths that we do not sin with our words concerning the situation. Remember you are the apple of God’s eye and He is concerned about those things that concern you. Follow closely to His words of wisdom from the Bible. Pray for your enemies and He will deliver you out of the situation. God’s desire for His children is that we might live victorious lives each day. Thank you, Lord God Almighty for loving us!

As we think in our hearts, that is what we are. The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart our mouth speaks words. The question is, "What are you saying?" Listen to yourself! You say that is a novel idea! Yes, it is. Many people open the mouth and speak, but they never listen to nor do they think about what they are saying. We should speak words of comfort and love. Sometimes we have to speak words of correction, but those should always be spoken with love, not in anger or hate. Let us meditate on what is good, lovely, kind, gentle, helpful, and full of God’s abundant favor and love, so that our words will reflect what we have been meditating upon.
